Choose Your Powertrain
You can choose the Mitsubishi Outlander engine best suited to your needs. If you are driving in Jersey City or on the highway, you will find an engine that gives you power and performance. The Outlander's standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline-four engine. Driving around town is easy with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. Upgrading to any of the PHEV models will give you a boost in power. The PHEV has a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The addition of the two electric motors combines to produce 248 horsepower.
Saving gas during short journeys has become easy with the addition of the PHEV models. The hybrid engine models can run for 38 miles of electric driving. Mitsubishi has included a DC fast charging option that cuts recharging time.
A Redesigned Interior
The latest incarnation of the Mitsubishi Outlander received a thorough redesign. The interior of the latest models sports an upgrade in cabin materials and style. The modern redesign of the cabin has impressed us. It includes new materials and more legroom for passengers. The padded seats offer seat warmers in select Mitsubishi SUV models to keep you warm on the chilliest days. Road and wind noise is not a problem for Outlander drivers. The use of noise-reducing materials limits exterior noise entering the cabin. There is plenty of cargo space in the Outlander's trunk. It has 33.5 cubic feet available when the third row folds flat.
Drivers Have Plenty of Technology Options
Infotainment and technology options are important to all Newark drivers. The new Mitsubishi Outlander's redesign includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. The heads-up display makes it easy to keep your eyes on the roads. Standard technology changes with the trim level. All Outlander models have either an eight or nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system. All new Mitsubishi Outlander SUVs are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto platforms. Trim levels with a nine-inch infotainment system include wireless phone connectivity. Staying connected and charged is easy with charging ports at the bottom of the center stack. Several charging ports are available throughout the compact crossover.
Staying Safe on Roads
Adaptive cruise control makes it easy to sit back and enjoy Newark driving. The new model has lane assist features to keep drivers in their lane on even the longest journeys. Blind-spot monitoring comes as standard equipment to protect drivers and passengers.
